A Tim Burton favorite for many and just in time for Halloween, The Nightmare Before Christmas was originally released in 1993 and was welcomed into the hearts of all those who loved a quirky fairytale about holidays.
As before, Jack Skellington, king of Halloween Town, discovers Christmas Town, but doesn’t quite understand the concept. Nonetheless, Jack decides to make Christmas his own, but not without dire consequences. With the help of Digital Disney, audiences will fall in love for the first time or all over again with this wonderful plot and story because it’s closer than ever, literally — the 3-D effects are definitely a sight to behold. The only drawback with this re-released version is the 3-D effects could have been a little stronger or more advanced since moviegoers have been spoiled with such animation achievements as The Incredibles. | RDW
