Spring is in full bloom, and looking and feeling your best is a sign of the season. Unfortunately, many men undersell themselves by not taking a few extra minutes to add one or two simple finishing touches. Spring 2016 fashion trends for men are all about those finishing touches, and they take the shape of crisp and slimmer silhouettes and personal grooming.
“We’re not talking about young men’s extreme skimpy fits, but styles that do more to flatter,” explains Peter Rose, trend and marketing expert for Chelsea Menswear and its sister store, Willow Tree. Chelsea Menswear is known not only for staying on top of the latest trends but also for exploring and embracing them. “Currently, all of our best trending items are slimmer cut. As we continue to transition into spring and into fall 2016, you will see flat front slacks becoming much more dominant, and you can definitely watch for the reintroduction of new pleated models as early as next spring,” Rose predicts. Despite these particular slimmer lines in men’s slacks, men’s shirts are expected to stay on the more classic side with fuller fit shirts as well as the slimmer, “shaped” fits that provide a “closer-to-body look” that flatters a spectrum of sizes.
Rose adds that personal grooming trends are another staple of the spring season. “Personal grooming for guys is one of the biggest growth trends in the world right now, and Chelsea Menswear has a stake in it with two excellent brands–St. James and Jack Black.” St. James of London offers fantastic shave-related products, creams, and shaving equipment. Jack Black, meanwhile, is more concerned with all aspects of men’s grooming, with products like skin care, hand healers, anti-aging products, and shampoos, along with its own shave-related products.
